Who we are
Heidi Andersen, Managing Director and founder of Living Institute in 2004, has for 10 years been the co-owner and driving force of a cultural institution in Copenhagen. She worked with communications and corporate identity at Bang & Olufsen and has held prominent positions in private organisations as well as cultural institutions. For a number of years she has been teaching social and historical factors of Danish society as well as Danish language and culture to foreigners living in Denmark.Heidi studied Strategy, Growth and Great Change Leadership Strategies on Innovation at Wharton Business School, Pennsylvania, USA.
Certified LEGO Serious Play Practitioner.

Dennis Nørmark, Senior Consultant, MSc. Anthropology.
Dennis is one of the driving forces behind our courses and workshops. He is part time lecturer at Department of Antrhopology at Aarhus University, a writer an actor and a commentator and reviewer for the newspaper Jyllands Posten.
Dennis has facilitated workshops and seminars for Vestas, Rambøll, Dong Energy, Ecco, Fujitsu, IDA Service, Leo Pharma, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Denmark, Novo Nordisk, Schneider Electric, F.L. Schmidt

Jens Rottbøll, partner, Diploma in Leadership, Leadership in the Knowledge Society at Insead and Wharton Business School, Candidate from Rhythmic Music Conservatory of Copenhagen.
Jens has worked as Director of Human Ressources at Bang & Olufsen where he was responsible for global HRM.
During the last decade Jens has managed projects with global management groups from Europe, Inda, China, Asia, South America dealing with diversity management and cross cultural management after mergers and acquisitions.
This work has primarily taken place in Brazil, France, Germany, Scandinavia, UK, Spain and Denmark and the companies involved were: B&O, NOVO NORDISK, BASF, E-Bay, LEGO Group, IC Company, Pandora and Maersk Logistics

Mette Zølner, MA, PhD in Political and Social Sciences from EUI in Florence, Associate Professor Department of Intercultural Communication and Management, Copenhagen Business School.

Sidsel Rastrup Magnussen, MA in China and Asian studies. She has specialised in Danish corporate relations in Asian cultures. Sidsel works with both the private and the public sector.

Katinka Hyllested , MA. in French and Sociology.
Katinka has taken parts of her education in France and worked in various international companies. She has been general manager of an NGO project in Nicaragua.
Katinka has written articles in newspapers and magazines, among others Berlingske Tidende and Euroman. She is a strong communicator, among other things specialized in facilitating complex group processes. For more than ten years she has taught French, Danish and general language comprehension.

Amy Clotworthy, BA, Theater and Communication, George Washington University; MA, Applied Cultural Analysis, University of Copenhagen. Tom Hale , BFA, Theatre, University of Texas, Austin. After receiving a classical education in theatre, Tom went on to study and perform comedy and improvisation at the Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles, California. He has since used these skills to further his career in the service industry, managing fine dining restaurants in New york, Los Angeles, and Copenhagen. He is currently managing director of Cafe World Aps. in Copenhagen where he oversees his own restaurant, as well as consults. Michael Green BA, Economics, is currently finalizing his PhD in cross-cultural leadership with Aston Business School and has over 25 year’s international corporate experience in senior line and strategic management positions. Latterly he was Senior Vice President in the M-real Corp. of Finland where was responsible for HR and administration. Cécile Renault, China Cultural Awareness Consultant, holds an MA in Marlene Mohr, specialist doctor in gynaecology and obstetrics. Victoria Vorting, MSc in Economics & Business Administration, English and Intercultural Market Studies from Copenhagen Business School. Marcin Winiarczyk Tamara Wiedemann, has an academic background in Anette Villemoes, Lecturer and head of Department of International Culture and Communication Studies at Copenhagen Business School Irene Nørlund, MSc. and PhD in History and Anthropology, Part- time lecturer, Saxo Institute at University of Copenhagen. Arne Wangel, Ph.D., Associate Professor, DTU Management at Technical University of Denmark. The solution managers are anthropologists, psykologists, physicians, project managers, language teachers and cross cultural trainers.
After growing up in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles (California) and New York City, Amy acted in, produced and stage-managed plays and theatrical workshops throughout New England and the Washington, D.C., area.
Over the next 18 years, she worked for a variety of corporate organizations in the U.S. and developed a career as a communications advisor, editor and writer with expertise in strategizing and developing messages for targeted business audiences.
In 2008, Amy moved to Denmark to become part of an international Master’s program in applied cultural analysis (MACA). Her ethnographic research concentrates on promoting user-driven innovation in the heath-care sector, as well as the identification, understanding and integration of cultural differences within private and public business organizations.

Michael has lived and worked in Finland, Belgium, The Netherlands and France as well as his native U.K. and has extensive experience of leading change management programmes for re-structuring, post A&M integrations, efficiency improvements, strategy implementation and business alignment. He is an expert in cross-cultural leadership consulting and training.

She started her career as an export manager and gained an extensive
experience in negotiating contracts in a variety of multi-cultural and
multi-lingual contexts while developing a deep interest for booming China.
In 2004, she was awarded a scholarship by the Chinese government and the
French Ministry of Foreign Affairs to conduct some research on French SME’s
in China. She lived and worked in China for 4 years and worked for the
Knight Frank Group in charge of developing and coordinating the China
relocation business. She offered some trainings for multinationals’ high
profile expatriates upon their arrival in China. Among her customers were
Avis, Porsche and Kiabi.
Back to France, where she is now based, Cécile, who is fluent in Mandarin,
uses her in-depth knowledge of expatriate issues and of the Chinese culture
to deliver cross-cultural and China expatriation training seminars.
Besides her medical duties Marlene is responsible for the training of supervisors in the capitol region.
She has a vast experience in teaching and is now taking a masters degree in medical pedagogy.
Marlene has a for many years worked with doctors responsibilities and health law and she is the chairman of the Commettee of Medical Responsibilities in Danish Medical Association
For eleven years she has been involved in union politics activities thus she has a detailed knowledge of the structure of the Danish healthcare system

Victora facilitates presentations on Indian culture and Indian affairs based on her own experiences from her stays in India.
Victoria focused on India during her education and when she was attached to the Trade Commision of Denmark in Bangalore.
Victoria works a IT Systems Administrator at Copenhagen Business School concurrently with her work as cross cultural facilitator and consultant in Living Institute
Marcin is educated as cand.merc. from the Copenhagen Business School. Originally from Warsaw, Poland, he has more than 17 years of experience of living and working in Bulgaria, Germany, Switzerland and Denmark.
In his various professional duties, he is constantly involved in cross-cultural communication and has on numerous occassions facilitated contacts between Polish and Danish companies.
