Living Institute was founded in april 2004 by Heidi Rottboll Andersen and provides courses and workshops in general cultural awareness and country specific cross-cultural training.
The consultants and counselors in Living Institute are mainly social scientists and/or practitioners with significant knowledge and expertise in their field of work.
As a market leader Living Institute provides training and counseling to a large number of companies with an intercultural and global agenda.
In the early years Living Institute focused on cross-cultural training and the wellbeing of expatriate families during the transition process aiming to increase the retention rate, but over the recent years Living Institute has extended their services to enhance the intercultural competencies of anyone working in a global context i.g: specialists, managers, teams, boards of directors etc.
From being a company mainly focussing on cultural issues Living Institute is now working in the field of inclusion in a broader sense: gender, religion, sexuality, disability etc.
This increase in activities have resulted in the formation of Living Institute's traveling task forces. Teams of specialists traveling all over the globe to solve tasks on location for their international clients.
One of the driving forces behind Living Institute's current position as market leader is Dennis Nørmark, MSc. Anthropology, Author & Senior Consultant. With his 6 years of teaching experience from University of Aarhus and with his academic background as an cognitive anthropologist he is warranting the high quality level and validity of Living Institute's services.
In March 2011 Klaus Schröder Pagh was appointed managing director and CEO in Living Institute.
